It turns out that the scan to network folder wizard needed the microsoft account login id and password, not the pc's user name and pc password. this doesn't make sense to me, but that is what solved the problem. i did follow the advice from boty replies and made sure that the scan folder had the permissions set up. thank you.. I am trying to setup the scan to network folder option on my hp laserjet pro mfp m477fdw and although i have downloaded hp color laserjet pro mfp m477 printer series pcl 6 v3 full solution (version 16.0.17171.700) and followed the instructions in the user manual (start -> programs -> hp) there is no scan to network folder wizard listed.the only items listed under hp in the start menu are hp.
